Our Process
Building a website involves numerous phases from the inception of an idea to the creation of your web site, and finally to maintaining and keeping your web site up to date and current.
Phase I - Discussion/Information Gathering
This phase requires you, the client, to be very involved to give us everything you are are looking for in the website. The clients involvement is not only required in this phase, but an important part of subsequent phases as well.
In this Phase, we will discuss:
- The purpose of the website. Are you looking to provide information, promote a service, or sell a product?
- Who is your target audience. Is there a specific group of people that you are trying to reach.
- If you have an existing website your looking to redesign or in need of a new web site. If you require hosting, a domain name, or special programming?
- What color schemes or ideas you may already have
- Websites you have visited that has certain colors, features or a look you like.
Phase II - Planning/Layout
Based on the information gathered in Phase I, a site map with list of all the main topic areas of the site, as well as sub-topics is developed.
In this Phase, we will discuss:
- How many pages will be required.
- How the content will be supplied.
- Will a CMS (Content Management System) be required
- What technologies will be used. (PHP, .NET, Flash, SQL Server Database)
- Proposal/Estimate for developing the website
Phase III - Initial Design
Upon acceptance of the proposal, design will begin.(A minimum deposit of fifty percent (50%) is required to commence work).
In this Phase, we will discuss:
- Setup/Register your Domain Name and hosting account with godaddy.com (unless otherwise specified)
- Refine a single design through multiple revisions based on your feedback.
- Send links for your review throughout the design process for your approval.
Phase IV - Development/Testing
Upon acceptance of the final design, development will begin.
In this Phase, we will discuss:
- Develop and apply accepted design to all main and sub category pages placing the appropriate text, links and images where necessary.
- Send links for your review throughout the development process for your approval.
- We test compatibility issues , viewing the differences between different web browsers, making sure that the site is optimized to be viewed properly in the most recent browser versions.
Phase V - Final Delivery
Upon receiving final approval, implementation will begin.
In this Phase, we will discuss:
- Upload all required files to hosting server.
- Test to make sure that all files have been uploaded correctly, and that the site is fully functional.
- Make site viewable to the public
